A Trustee Shall Keep the Current Beneficiaries Informed

February 20, 2020, by Daniel McGowan, on New Probate & Trust Cases |

The Ohio Trust Code is clear on the administration requirements governing trustees in Ohio.  Pursuant to the Trust Code, a Trustee is required to keep the current Beneficiaries of the Trust reasonably informed about the administration of the Trusts, and of the material facts necessary for them to protect their interests.  Unless unreasonable, the Trustee shall promptly respond to a Beneficiary's request for information related to the administration of the Trust.
